Basic APP setup of SoloCam E42

About eufy app

The free eufy app lets you set up your eufy products, see their status, change their settings and get notifications when something happens. Here’s an introduction to the basics.

The eufy app helps you keep an eye on things and stay connected to your eufy product anywhere you have an internet connection. For instance, with the eufyapp, you can view your home with SoloCam, get instant notification when someone drops by you, and more. All in one place.

Get the eufy app

For iOS devices, search eufy app in APP Store. 

For Android devices, search eufy app in Google Play. 

Here's what you need to start: 

A free account. If you don't have one yet, you can create one directly on the eufy app sign in screen.

At least one eufy Security product.

A Wi-Fi network that your eufy products will use to connect to the internet.

For app:

1. Android 8.0+, APP version above 4.7.4.

2. iOS 12.0.0+, APP version above 4.7.4.

 

In-app setup

1. SoloCam E42 can be installed outdoors.

2. If there are frequent heavy rains, strong winds, hail and other bad weather, please use the secure outdoor mount bracket to install the camera. 

For SoloCam E42, we recommend you install on the sidewall that make sure that solar panel can face the sun directly.

3. Take your cameras and phone to the location you want to mount the camera. Use the app to read the signal strength on the camera.

4. Make sure the signal strength is "Great" at the desired location.

5. Mount the camera 7-10ft (2.2-3m) high, and downtilt the camera about 15°.

6. Avoid placing the camera lens near the wall or glass to prevent light reflecting into the IR LED.

 

Why did SoloCam E42 fail to add?

1. Take off the plastic on the camera lens

2.Please make sure you have pressed the SoloCam E42 SYNC button for at least 2 seconds until you hear the beep. If you don’t hear the beep and the LED is off, please charge the battery. 

3. If the battery has power or has been charged, please try the steps below.

4. Please keep the camera and HomeBase within 3m when paring.

 

Why is there no beep when the camera's SYNC button is pressed?

1. Press and hold the SYNC button for at least 2 seconds.

2. If it still has no Beep sound after being pressed for more than 2 seconds, try charging the camera for 10 minutes, then try again by pressing the SYNC button.
