We have summarized frequently asked questions from our valued customers regarding the Anker 332 USB C Hub (5-in-1).
Why does the hub feel warm?
The hub's temperature may increase when high-speed charging or transferring data. Don't worry; this is within the normal limits of the hub's operation. Do not place objects on the hub or cover the hub with anything to avoid excessive heat.
Is the USB-C PD port support display or phone charging?
No. It only supports laptop charging only when connecting an extra charger via this PD port. And the maximum input watts is 100W. Even though you connect a 140W charger, the hub only supports 100W input. Due to the hub will consume 15W, the real charging watts for the laptop is 85W.
Can I connect a monitor to the USB C port via this hub?
No, we regret to inform you that the USB C port on this hub does not support video output. It only supports data transfer.
What resolution does this device support?
The HDMI port supports a variety of resolutions up to 4K@30Hz and 1080p@60Hz, including 1080p, 1080i, 720p, and 480p.
I can't get the HDMI port to work. What should I do?
Try some of the following steps:
- Confirm if the connected USB-C port of your device supports DP Alt Mode. Please consult your device's user manual or the manufacturer's website to do this. We fear you cannot get an external display through the hub if it doesn't support it.
- Try a different computer and HDMI cable to see if the issue persists.
- Plug your HDMI cable directly into your device and see if you get a stable connection. If you can't get a stable connection, then the problem is with your HDMI cable.
- Verify that your monitor is configured to the correct input (HDMI).
Do I need to install any drivers to use this hub?
No, this hub is plug-and-play. No software/driver is required.
