Do I need to install any drivers to use this hub?

Yes, for all video ports to function, it is required to install the latest drivers.

Can I connect a monitor to the USB C port via this hub?

No, we regret to inform you that the USB C port on this hub does not support video output. It only supports 5 Gbps data transfer.

 

Is the USB-C PD port support display or phone charging?

No. It only supports laptop charging when connecting an extra charger via this PD port. And the maximum input watts is 100W. Even though you connect a 140W charger, the hub only supports 100W input. Due to the hub will consume 15W, the real charging watts for the laptop is 85W.

 

Can I use another longer USB C to USB C cable to replace the included USB C cable?

No, another longer cable is not recommended as it will affect the hub's performance. Please use the included 1.6ft USB C 3.2 Gen 2 cable.

 

Is it compatible with MacBooks?

It is perfectly compatible with MacBooks, especially with the two external displays. 

 

Do both HDMI ports support HDCP?

No, only the HDMI 2.0 port supports HDCP. The other HDMI 1.4 port does not support HDCP.
