Anker Nano Charger (35W, Built-In Retractable USB-C Cable) FAQ

Q1: The plug is too tight and difficult to insert or remove. What should I do?

A1: Anker Nano Charger features a built-in retractable cable, so the plug is designed with a thicker, more secure fit to prevent it from loosening when the cable is extended. If it feels difficult to unplug, try gently wiggling the charger side to side while removing it. This is a safety feature, not a defect.

Q2: Why is there grease on the retractable cable?

A2: A small amount of lubricant is applied inside the charger to help the retractable cable extend and retract smoothly. If you notice grease on the cable, simply wipe it off with a clean cloth. The lubricant used is safe and compliant with environmental standards.

Q3: The retractable cable won’t retract. What can I do?

A3:

1. Gently pull the cable an additional 0.2-0.3” ( 5-8 mm), then release it. This should trigger the auto-retract mechanism.

2. If it still doesn’t retract, check the cable for dust or residue. Clean it gently with a lint-free cloth and water, then try again.

Q4: The retractable cable looks curled. Is this normal?

A4: Yes, the cable is made from a soft TPE material with a skin-friendly coating. If stored for a long time, it may appear curled. To straighten it:

- Fully extend and retract the cable several times.

- Fully extend and lock the cable, then let it rest at room temperature for a while.

Q5: Why is the built-in retractable cable so short?

A5: The built-in cable is 27.5” (70 cm) long, designed to keep the charger compact while covering most common scenarios. If you need more length, use the USB-C port on the charger with your own extended cable.
