Anker Charger (100W, 3 Ports, Smart Display) FAQ

Q1: Why can't I activate the 95W + 5W power distribution mode (USB-C / USB-A)?

A1: To activate 95W + 5W mode, the device connected to the USB-A port must meet low-current requirements—typically under 6V and 1A (e.g., headphones or smartwatches). If compatible, the charger will automatically switch to 95W + 5W mode after about 1 minute.

Q2: Why is it charging slower than expected or why doesn't the charger reach 100W?

A2: Charging speed can vary due to several factors:

- Make sure both your device and cable support 100W charging.

- Power output is typically highest when the battery is low. As the battery charges, the device will draw less power to protect battery health.

Q3: Why does charging stop briefly when I connect a new device?

A3: When switching between two-port and three-port use, the charger redistributes power across all ports. This may cause a brief interruption in charging, which is normal.

Q4: Why does the charger's power reading appear unstable or keep jumping?

A4: If the power reading fluctuates during charging, it may be due to the following reasons:

1. Some devices draw power inconsistently due to their charging behavior or built-in battery protection. This is normal. You can try charging a different device to see if the issue persists.

2. When a device is first connected, power gradually ramps up. Wait about one minute for the charging power to stabilize.

3. Some smartwatches use pulse charging, which naturally causes the power to fluctuate.

Q5: Why does the 95 + 5W power distribution change to 70 + 30W after plugging or unplugging a device from the USB-C1 port?

A5: When a device is connected or disconnected, the charger re-evaluates power distribution. After about 1 minute, it will return to the 95W + 5W configuration automatically.

Q6: Why does the charger still show power after unplugging a device from the USB-A port?

A6: After unplugging a device, the charger continues low-current detection to check if the device is fully disconnected. This detection lasts up to about 1 minute and is completely normal.

Q7: Why does the USB-A port show less than 1W after connecting a low-current device?

A7: Low-current devices like earbuds or smartwatches typically require less than 1W of power. This is normal and not a sign of any issue.

Q8: Why is the charging power low when using the USB-A port to charge a game console?

A8: To achieve faster charging for your game console, we recommend using the USB-C port as it supports higher power output.

Q9: Why does the charger show a power reading when the cable isn't connected to a device?

A9: Some cables—such as USB-C to Lightning or digital display cables—contain built-in chips that draw a small current. The charger may detect this as a connected device and display a power reading below 1W.

Q10: Why is the charging power low when using the USB-A port to charge a game console?

A10: To achieve faster charging for your game console, we recommend using the USB-C port as it supports higher power output.

Q11: Why doesn't the screen show Total Operating Time?

A11: Total Operating Time will only display once it reaches 2 hours. In addition, usage below 2W is not counted toward operating time.

Q12: Can I switch the language of the touch interface?

A12: No, the touch interface language cannot be changed.

Q13: Why is the power displayed on the charger different from the power shown on the device?

A13: Differences in measurement methods and cable power loss can cause discrepancies. The charger's display may show up to 10W higher than the device's reading, which is normal and within the acceptable margin of error.

Q14: Why does the charger's home screen show 100W while the port power is lower?

A14: When total output exceeds 95W and no proprietary protocol is active, the home screen displays a "100W full charge" animation to indicate the charger is fully loaded. Actual charging power varies in real time depending on the device's conditions, so port power will not remain at exactly 100W continuously.
