Why does my laptop not get 140W when charging with an Anker 717 charger?
Please take note that only cables and gadgets capable of handling 140W can be charged at that rate. For instance, an original Apple 140W Magsafe cable is needed to charge the 16-inch MacBook Pro (2021). The MacBook Pro's USB-C connection supports PD 3.0 and has a 100W maximum input.
Therefore, please refer to the following troubleshooting tips if your laptop cannot get 140W when charging using an Anker 717 charger:
Verify that the cable can handle 28V of EPR high voltage.
Verify whether the entire charging process cannot achieve 140W. Apple's 140W MacBook Pro is only powered at 140W for a brief period of time.
Verify that the device is capable of 140W charging.
