During normal use, the LED light of a wireless mouse will stay turned off to help save power. However, there are two situations in which the LED light will blink red:
The light near the thumb rest will flash red when you press the DPI button or power it on.
When the battery is running low, the LED bar will turn red and blink every time you move the mouse.
