First, please confirm the data transfer speed of our cable. Here are the specifications:
USB 2.0:480Mbps(60MB/s)
USB 3.0:5Gbps(640MB/s)
USB 3.1 Gen1:5Gbps(640MB/s)
USB 3.1 Gen2:10Gbps(1.25GB/s)
Please be advised that USB 2.0 speed is 480 megabits per second. That's 60 megabytes per second. Given the protocol overhead and the fact that USB 2.0 is half-duplex, the maximum data rate will be 30-40 megabytes per second. The case is the same as the other USB transfer speed.
If you have encountered some common data transferring issues when using your Anker cable, please try the following troubleshooting steps:
Can not transfer data:
- Wipe clean the tip/pins of the Anker with alcohol
- Try the Anker cable with another device, charger, and USB ports to see if the issue persists
- Try the original cable that came with your device and USB ports to see if it has the same issue
Slow data transferring speed:
- Verify the make and model of your phone and computer.
- Verify the speed when using your Anker cable to transfer data.
- Try wiping the cable tip’s contact pins clean.
- Try using another computer with the same cable.
- Try using the same cable with another phone, if possible.
What should I do if the cable has frayed/physical structural damage?
Please contact support@anker.com for the warranty claim and suggest you not keep using them due to the safety risk.
If all of the steps above cannot help you locate and resolve the problem, please contact us for further assistance. Briefly mention the steps that you’ve already tried for a faster solution.
