Under normal circumstances, the 3M adhesive pad does not need to be used when installing the car mount. Please attach the removable suction cup to the dashboard directly. Here are some steps to follow before setting up your charger:

1. It is recommended to wipe the dashboard clean using alcohol prep pads.

2. Only rough surfaces should be used with the 3M adhesive pad. The removable suction cup has a more secure grip on dashboards with a smooth surface. Press it firmly onto the dashboard for 1 minute to squeeze out any air and affix it. Let the car mount sit for 24 hours, or let the 3M adhesive pad sit on a rough dashboard for 24 hours before installing the car mount. The longer it sits, the stickier it becomes.

3. There should be no partial bumps on the joint surface. For a curved dashboard, please attach the suction cup to the dashboard directly.

4. If the removable suction cup base temporarily loses the stickiness, please wash the residue on the surface with warm water and let it air dry, then the stickiness will be restored and it will not be weakened. However, please be careful to prevent water from entering the charging port.
