If the Anker 521 Power Bank (PowerCore 2-in-1, 5K, 45W) cannot get charged or charge other devices, the following tips may help.

For not recharging itself issue:

• If recharging directly from the wall and it's not charging itself, try another wall outlet (power socket) as sometimes due to a loose connection the PowerCore plug cannot receive power, etc. 

• If recharging via its USB-C port, if it's not recharging, try another working USB-C cable and also try another wall charger, as sometimes due to an incompatible wall charger or defective cable it happens.   

For not charging other devices issue:

• First of all, need to check whether the device you are trying to charge is really compatible with this PowerCore or not. As this PowerCore can provide 45W in a wall charger mode and only 20W in portable charger mode (powerbank). So if you trying to charge a laptop in a portable charger mode, definitely it won't charge, as usual, the laptop may require a power of more than 20W.  Even in wall charger mode if you are trying to charge a 60W laptop it also won’t charge most of the time. So before trying to charge other devices you must know the compatibility of your device with this Powercore.

• If your device is compatible, try to charge it with a different cable because sometimes the cable is defective and not letting your device receive the required amount of power. 

• If the cable is tested and has no problem, try another compatible device to make sure whether the PowerCore is providing the output power or not (in both modes wall charger & powerbank mode). If it is still not providing the power it means the PowerCore is defective.
