Do I need to install any drivers to use this hub?
No, this hub is plug-and-play; no software/driver is required.
Can I connect a monitor to the USB C 3.2 Gen 1 port via this hub?
No, we regret to inform you that this hub's USB C 3.2 Gen 1 port on this hub does not support video output. It only supports 5Gbps data transfer.
Can I use another longer USB C to USB C cable to replace the included USB C cable?
Yes, you can use another cable. However, please make sure that the alternative cable is a USB 3.2 Gen2 Cable. Another lower version cable is not recommended as it will affect the hub's performance.
Is the USB-C PD port support display or phone charging?
No. It only supports laptop charging only when connecting an extra charger via this PD port. And the maximum input watts is 100W. Even though you join a 140W charger, the hub only supports 100W input. Due to the hub will consume 15W, the real charging watts for the laptop is 85W.
Can I get two different displays when I connect two monitors via this hub to MacBooks? Can I get two other displays?
No, I am afraid that both monitors will be mirrored. When connected to dual monitors, Mac OS devices only support screen mirroring. Windows supports both Single-Stream Transport (SST) and Multi-Stream Transport (MST) modes. macOS and iPadOS only support Single-Stream Transport (SST) mode. So, if you connect two monitors with this hub and your MacBooks, the images on the two monitors are the same.
