We have summarized a list of frequently asked questions regarding the Anker Anker 563 USB-C Docking Station (10-in-1) from our valued customers. Let's begin!
Why are the 2K ports (HDMI/DisplayPort) not working?
The Displaylink needs to be installed, and Screen Recording permission needs to be turned on when the DisplayLink software is installed. Otherwise, the 2K HDMI port and 2K DisplayPort can not be used normally. This permission is required to ensure normal port functionality; it will not be used for other purposes, and your privacy will be secured.
What should I do to fix screen drops, black screens, and flickering screen issues when connecting to an external monitor?
After the dock has just been connected to the external monitor, it's normal for some degree of flickering. It should go away in a few seconds. If this problem persists, try lowering the resolution.
If you experience screen issues after waking up your laptop, restart the dock by clicking the power button.
If your laptop or the docking station has not been shut down for a long time and you're experiencing screen issues, please restart the dock.
If you're having screen issues, try using the 4K HDMI port as the other ..ports. (HDMI/DisplayPort) do not support High-Bandwidth Digital Content Protection (HDCP), which could potentially be the cause of the issues.
Can I use my own USB-C cable to connect the dock to my laptop?
It's recommended that you use the included USB-C to USB-C 3.1 Gen 2 cable. If you need to use a different cable (due to loss etc.), then another USB-C to USB-C 3.1 Gen 2 cable would also be compatible.
Why does the dock feel warm?
When charging or transferring data at high speed, the dock's temperature may increase. Don't worry, this is within the normal limits of the dock's operation. To avoid excessive heat, make sure not to place any objects on top of the dock or to cover the dock with anything.
Sometimes the dock doesn't automatically reconnect after I wake up or restart my laptop. What should I do?
This situation doesn't happen very often, but if you are having this problem, try disconnecting and reconnecting the USB-C cable.
Can this dock support fast charging for my devices?
This dock supports up to 100W max of charging via the USB-C upstream port on the back of the dock (indicated with a computer icon). The USB-C Power Delivery port(indicated by "PD" )supports up to 30W fast charging for your phone. The USB-A 3.2 Gen1 port supports up to 7.5W charging for your smaller devices.
