1. What is DisplayLink Technology and, what the DisplayLink Technology do?
DisplayLink is a connection technology that connects a monitor to a computer through a USB interface. DisplayLink lets you quickly and easily connect multiple monitors to your PC with a simple USB connection. Host software is installed on your computer to communicate with the DisplayLink device. The difference from ordinary screen expansion technology is that DisplayLink products need to install drivers before they can use all video expansion interfaces.
2. How to download the DisplayLink for A8395
2.1 For the laptops running Windows systems:
(1) Open the webpage and enter the URL:
https://www.synaptics.com/products/DisplayLink-graphics/downloads
(2) As shown in the figure below, select the corresponding system
(3) Select the latest driver to download
(4)Open the downloaded folder and double-click the driver file to install
(5)Click "RUN"
(6)Click“Intall”
2.2 For the laptops running Mac systems:
(1) Open the webpage and enter the URL:
https://www.synaptics.com/products/DisplayLink-graphics/downloads
(2) As shown in the figure below, select the corresponding system.
(3) Select the latest driver to download
(4)Click“Accept”
(5)Open the folder and click the driver file to install it
(6)Click “Continue”
(7)Click “Agree”
(8)Click “Install.”
(9)Enter the power-on password and click "Install Software"
(10)Click "Closed" to complete the installation.
(11)Check "Launch automatically after login."
3. What needs to be known when downloading the DisplayLink
Screen Recording permission needs to be turned on when the DisplayLink software is installed. Otherwise, the 2K HDMI port and 2K DisplayPort can not be used normally. This permission is required to ensure normal port functionality; it will not be used for other purposes, and your privacy will be secured.
