This dock uses two technologies to support up to three external displays:
- The 4K HDMI output port is controlled directly by your laptop's internal graphics processor via USB-C DP Alt Mode, a feature that must be supported by your laptop's USB-C port. To use this port, connect the dock to a compatible USB-C port on your laptop using the included USB-C to USB-C cable. Do not use USB-A to USB-C cables, adapters, or hubs between the dock and your laptop, as they do not support video output and will block the signal.
- The 2K HDMI and 2K DP output ports are powered by DisplayLink technology. On Windows, this requires the DisplayLink driver; on macOS, the DisplayLink Manager app. DisplayLink emulates graphics output via software, enabling the dock to support additional displays beyond your system's native capabilities. For stable performance, make sure your operating system, graphics drivers, and DisplayLink software are all up to date. Manual drive installation may be necessary.
Please try the following troubleshooting steps:
1. Make sure you have downloaded and launched the latest version of DisplayLink software. Without it, the 2K HDMI and 2K DP ports will not output video.
2. If you're using a Mac, confirm that "Screen Recording permission" is enabled for DisplayLink Manager. This permission is required for macOS to allow video output through the 2K HDMI and 2K DP ports.
3. Try using the dock with a different laptop that has a USB-C port that supports DP Alt Mode.
4. If you're using a MacBook, update macOS to the latest version available.
5. Disconnect the dock from your laptop and unplug all connected devices. Wait at least 5 minutes, then reboot your laptop. Reconnect the dock and see if the issue is resolved.
