Will this hub work with cases on the iPads? 

No, it does not work in any case on the iPads. Due to the design of this hub with a lip on one side, it is not possible to insert an iPad with cases on. This lip is used to make the hub more stable on iPads. This hub is only compatible with Apple's Smart Folio. 

  

Does this hub work through a USB C extension adapter (male-female) connected to an iPad?

No, it is not compatible. This hub supports 4K@60Hz via the HDMI port, 54W charging via the USB C port, and 5Gbps data transfer via USB A and USB C ports. The USB C extension adapter may not support all the features that are needed for the hub to function correctly. 

  

Will this hub work with an iMac or MacBook？

No, this hub is only designed for USB-C iPads. Any other device, such as an iMac, MacBook, or other branded tablet, is not supported. 

 

Does this hub support USB Power Delivery (PD)? How much wattage should I use for the wall charger?

Yes, it supports PD (Maximum 54W for iPad charging). Please note the USB C PD port on this hub supports 60W charging at the maximum when it is connected with a C wall charger and a C to C cable that both supports 60W PD charging since the hub itself needs 6W for its operation. If you connect the hub with a 30W wall charger, the hub takes 6W for its operation, and the rest 24W will charge the iPad. We suggest you use a charger with 6W more wattage than your original one.

  

What is the maximum data transfer speed on the USB A and USB C ports?

USB A and USB C ports have a maximum data transfer speed of 5Gbps.

  

Does this hub require software/driver?

No, this hub is plug-and-play; no software/driver is required.
